Proud 32-Career in supporting our First Responders

My Story

Pamela is a 32-year veteran of police, fire and paramedic emergency communications.  Pamela’s passion for law enforcement began as a teenager after taking a Student and the Law class in Junior High School.

At 16 years old, Pamela joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Explorer, attending a 6-month academy which taught her criminal law, first aid, physical fitness and firearms. Upon graduating from the academy, Pamela’s training consisted of working in the records department, patrol division and the detective bureau, eventually achieving the top position of Captain of the Pico Rivera Sheriff Station Explorer Post.

Upon completion of the 5-year Explorer program, Pamela embarked on her career as a 911 emergency Communications Officer with the Bell-Cudahy Police Department, often working in the field along side the sworn officers. In 1987, Pamela was excited to secure a position with the Costa Mesa Police, Fire and Paramedics Communications Department known for it’s State-Of-The-Art CAD system.

Pamela has always had a love and pride for helping others, participating in citywide disaster preparedness drills, public events, televised public service announcements and national talk shows.
Pamela was also awarded for her service to the city of Costa Mesa, the County of Orange and the Red Cross for her part in helping to save the life of a 4 year old boy who could not breath due to an obstructed airway. Furthermore, she was awarded Employee of the year for the city of Costa Mesa.
